ATTENTION TARGET REDcard HOLDERS---Help Support NJHS

Are you a Target Red Card holder?  If so, please consider linking your card to NJHS.

Our school # is 33683.

We have 1,000 students but currently only 18 of our families are registered REDcard holders.  Not only does the school receive 1% of all purchases made by REDcard, but consumers receive 5% off of all purchases, as well, even on sale items.  It’s a win-win for NJHS.  We thank you in advance for your support!

Go to https://redcard.target.com/redcard/rc_main.jsp to register your card.  THANKS!

Value of the Month

January Value of the Month

 “Taking Responsibility”

Taking responsibility is an extremely important value to practice. Admitting when we do something that is wrong, being honest about it, and stepping up and accepting the possible consequences is very important. We must also remember to be responsible with regard to getting class work and homework done for school, getting chores done at home, and doing all the things we need to do in order to become a productive member of society. Being responsible is not only a part of the Cougar Code, but also a part of the code of society as young people grow and become more and more successful in life.

Remember to always be responsible and to always take responsibility whenever the situation arises. This is a good time to set new goals for yourself that reflect responsibility. When you set goals, it is a good idea to write them down and to review them from time to time. Have a great month of January in the New Year as we move closer to the end of the second quarter and the first semester. Before you know it, the school year will be half completed!

Safety Corner

Parents: Please be patient in our parking lot as it tends to be very crowded during the rainy season. Also, a reminder about the mornings: please do not drop off your child before 8:00 a.m. Parents, please do not stop in the fire lane where the curbs are painted red when dropping off or picking up your child.

Students: If you walk to school and pass by the football field, continue on the Lafayette Avenue sidewalk until you get to the front of the school.  DO NOT walk across the parking lot before school or after school to save time. Stay on the sidewalk and be safe!
